This pair of mismatched earrings features a hand-painted artwork on mother of pearl, also known as nacre, which is the iridescent lining found inside some mollusk shells. It is a strong, resilient, and iridescent natural material of which pearls are composed. The hand-painted artwork is inspired by la Dolce Vita and the wondrous Amalfi Coast, renowned its rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages. The other earring is also a tribute to the beautiful Italian coastline, featuring gold-plated starfishes as buttons and 3 pendants: a red coral, a white starfish and a blue tassel made of silk.
