The LONTESSA Collection
Lontessa is a fashion label created by Tessa Lont, a designer from New Zealand who has taken her collection to the world stage with shows at Fashion Weeks in Paris, New York and Singapore.
Her work is inspired by the rich tapestry of Maori culture, the wild and magic beauty of her native New Zealand, and the lore of its people. Tessa says her ideas come from taking stories she was brought up with “and then put them into sort of a modern context and seeing how it can relate to us in our life at the moment.”
The brand is also passionate about the sustainability of materials and the elevated life cycles of its garments. It does not do massive productions and uses eco fabrics such as Cupro which is made from cotton seed waste, degrades like cotton and looks like silk.
